The Trust Ledger is Trooth's public record of what has been witnessed and what has changed. Each entry is hash-linked to the one before it and the chain is anchored daily, so history can be checked, not merely trusted.
Trooth does not attest, certify, or sign on a company's behalf. Trooth cryptographically signs the evidence receipts it creates.

A witnessing pass completed: what was read, from which source, at what time, signed by Trooth.

A meaningful difference from the previous pass: something appeared, changed, or stopped being true.

A company or third party contested a fact; the dispute, the re-run, and the outcome are all recorded.

A recorded fact was wrong and was corrected. The correction is logged; the history is not rewritten.
Append-only means corrections add entries instead of rewriting them. A fact that stops being true is marked stale or superseded, with its history intact, rather than deleted.
The ledger is only worth something if you can test it without asking Trooth's permission.
