About Trooth

The web has a new reader. In 2024, software passed people on the web for the first time in a decade, at 51% of all traffic (Imperva, 2025 Bad Bot Report). More of it every month is AI agents researching vendors, answering questions and making choices for the people who sent them.Trooth is an infrastructure and cybersecurity company providing Machine-Readable Trust.

Every one of those readers has to decide what to believe about a company, and today it decides from marketing pages, scattered PDFs and guesswork. Trooth replaces the guesswork with one record per company, built for a machine to read and a person to trust. It holds who the company is and what it sells, its security, privacy and compliance, its AI practices and its marketing claims, every fact labeled with who said it and when. It is the trust layer the internet was built without, with security first in every layer under it.

The drawing above is Herman Hollerith's tabulator, which in 1890 let the US Census Bureau count a nation by machine instead of by hand. Trust between companies is still read by hand, one questionnaire at a time. We are building the record that lets a machine read it instead.

The Domain Name System (DNS) says where a company is, and a Transport Layer Security (TLS) certificate shows the connection reaches the name it claims. Neither says who the company is, what it offers, or what it has published about security, privacy and AI.The Trooth Network records that, labeled by source and dated where a date is known. Trooth is the witness: it reads and dates what it can read, and it does not attest, certify or vouch for what a company says.It does not show that the content is true or enough. See the methodology.

People and machines read the same record. Each profile is also served as a plain-text version, an application programming interface (API) and a Model Context Protocol (MCP) endpoint.A company publishes and maintains its record in the company workspace. A buyer reads company records, keeps a shortlist and asks for documents in the buyer workspace.Both workspaces read the one record, and neither can pay to change it.

Trooth signs what it read, never a company's claims, and its published keys let anyone check a signature without an account or a conversation. There is no number, no grade, no band and no ranking, only what was read and when. Trooth's own record is read under the same rules as any other, corrections included.

Being read is free, and no payment can change what a page shows.Trooth is free, as the Terms state. If a paid offering is ever introduced, its price is published before it takes effect, and nobody is charged without agreeing.The service does not depend on any one person, and any wind-down gives at least 90 days' notice, with data export throughout (continuity).
