The compare pages on trooth.co, the compare endpoint of the public application programming interface (API) and the Model Context Protocol (MCP) tool trooth_compare_companies are withdrawn. Each company's Trust Profile, the search, the shortlist and the public record are unchanged.
What changed
The pages /compare, /vs, /network/compare and /network/vs, the endpoint GET /api/compare, the saved comparisons in the buyer workspace and the MCP tool trooth_compare_companies are withdrawn on October 15, 2026. The pages answer with a permanent redirect to /network, the endpoint is gone from the public contract and the catalogs, and the MCP server at api.trooth.co is version 1.6.0, and its tool list no longer names a compare tool. Older changelog entries that describe the comparison stay as written: they record what shipped on their dates.
Why it changed
Trooth's product is one public record per company. A comparison across companies may return later, if people ask for it; until then nothing on trooth.co, in its documents or in its machine-readable files offers one.
Who is affected
- Affected: Anyone who opened a compare page or called the compare endpoint or the compare tool. Readers of one company's Trust Profile, callers of the public record, the search and the other MCP tools, webhook receivers and the command line are not affected.
- Availability: Everyone. /compare, /vs and /network/compare now send a reader to the Network search; the MCP server answers the old tool name as an unknown tool, as it answers any other.
- Release stage: Withdrawn.
- Areas: Network, API, MCP server, Company workspace.
What to do
Action required. If an integration called GET /api/compare or the MCP tool trooth_compare_companies, read each company's profile instead: /api/network/profile?q=<domain>&contract=2, or the MCP tool trooth_public_trust_profile, once per company.
