Trooth in Claude & Claude Code

Last updated: Oct 17, 2026View as Markdown

Look up any company's public record from Claude or a Claude Code session.

Choose the setup for the app you use. You only need the one you want.

Optional: Add to Claude

Open Connectors

In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, then the plus button, then Add custom connector.

Paste the address

Name it Trooth and paste https://api.trooth.co/public/mcp

Add it, with no sign-in

Select Add. If Claude asks how people sign in, choose No sign-in. Then start a new conversation, turn Trooth on and ask it about a company.

On Team and Enterprise plans an owner adds the connector first, under Organization settings, then Connectors; members then select Connect.

Use Trooth to look up trooth.co and summarize what it publishes about security, with who said each fact and when.

Optional: Set up Claude Code

Claude Code connects to the same endpoint. Run the command below, then check it in a session.

1. Add Trooth

claude mcp add --transport http trooth https://api.trooth.co/public/mcp

The address is a setting for Claude Code, not a page to open in a browser. Add --scope project to share it with your team through the project's .mcp.json.

2. Check it

In Claude Code, run /mcp and check that trooth is listed as connected. There is no sign-in. Then ask:

Use Trooth to find the record for the vendor in package.json's repository field and list what it publishes about privacy.

What you can do

Other ways to connect

Troubleshooting

  • Two trooth servers listed: run claude mcp remove trooth, then add it again once.
  • The tools do not appear in Claude: start a new conversation and turn Trooth on from the tools menu.
  • To take it out: in Claude, Customize, then Connectors, then Remove; in Claude Code, claude mcp remove trooth.
