Install Semanto on Apache

View as Markdown

One configuration file. Apache sends agents' requests to your signed copy and serves everything else as before.

Steps

  1. Enable the modules: a2enmod rewrite proxy proxy_http ssl headers.
  2. Download the package below and copy semanto.conf to /etc/apache2/conf-available/.
  3. Replace example-inc with your Trooth ID, then add Include conf-available/semanto.conf inside your VirtualHost.
  4. Run apachectl configtest, reload Apache, then press Check my site in the dashboard.

Download

Download the Apache package (zip, 4 KB). It holds the files the steps name.

Check it works

From any terminal. The answer should be markdown with Signature and Trooth-Semanto-Version headers.

sudo apachectl configtest && sudo systemctl reload apache2curl -s -H "Accept: text/markdown" https://example.com/ | head

If Trooth is slow or down, your site keeps answering: what the adapter does.
